Hammer forging is a traditional metal forming process in which repeated high-impact blows from a power hammer deform heated metal into the desired shape, producing components ranging from small components to larger industrial parts like crankshafts and connecting rods. Commonly used in automotive, aerospace, construction and defence industries, it enhances material strength, toughness and grain structure while minimising porosity and defects. The process allows rapid production of complex shapes with good surface finish, resulting in highly durable and reliable components suited for demanding, high-stress applications.
